The face behind the camera

My name is Maaike. I’m living in Arnhem with my dear partner and cat, but we also have lived in Portugal for some time and traveled around Asia. Plenty of adventures where I was able to capture the most beautiful places with my camera.

Thanks to my father's passion for photography, I became interested in the camera at an early age. Twelve years ago, after completing my basic photography course, I was asked to photograph my first wedding on Terschelling. I was sold right away! Since then I have been able to capture many fantastic couples, families and precious moments.

I always wanted to save stray dogs, and I actually still want to do that

But... Nothing makes me as enthusiastic as creating beautiful and authentic photos. In the evening I really have to stop my editing or shoot preparations on time, otherwise I'm guaranteed to stay awake all night with way too many ideas. I call it fervent enthusiasm.
